As counsel for the IRS, Terry advised IRS personnel on all aspects of federal tax law, administration and procedures including audits, Collection Due Process, innocent spouse, trust fund liability determinations, liens and levies, summonses, employee-classification and penalties. Terry represented the Commissioner of Internal Revenue in over 1,000 cases in the United States Tax Court. Terry also advised IRS Bankruptcy Specialists and represented and/or advised the IRS in thousands of bankruptcy cases.
Terry previously represented individuals, business entities, organizations, lending institutions and municipalities. He engaged in civil, criminal defense and appellate litigation while representing clients in matters of estate planning and probate administration, business formation and domestic relations.
